Carry On Youth Board Members

Brian Kovach

Brian is a husband and father to his loving wife, Jennifer, and his 2 year old son, Dominic.  In 1998 he graduated from Johnson High School and continued his education at Furman University in Greenville, SC.  Upon completion of his bachelors degree in Business Administration, he returned to Hall County working in the banking sector for the past 10
years; 8 in a managerial role.  Currently he is working for Wells Fargo as a manager of the Thompson Bridge Store.  He is a parishioner of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and a former member of the South Hall Rotary.  He has completed projects and raised funds for charities such as the American Heart Association, Habitat for Humanity, and the Lake
Lanier Association.

January Hudson

While in college at Georgia State University, January volunteered with a non-profit afterschool program that reached out to children of imprisoned mothers.  She was involved in tutoring, facilitating activities, serving meals, and attending summer camps with the children.  After graduating, she was employed with Girls and Boys Town of GA, a residential facility for girls aged 11-17.  She taught them social skills, helped them prepare meals, monitored the girls during onsite schooling, and escorted the girls on various field trips and outings.  She has also worked for an organization that provided after school tutoring, weekend and holiday supervision, and mentoring for students of various ages.  January has a passion for working with young people and is excited about this great opportunity! 

Tracy Sasser Perez

Tracy lost her mother at a somewhat early age and she knows the need for a program that supports youth that have lost a parent.  She looks forward to sharing my experiences with program participants and helping out where she is needed. 

Nick Howard

Nick lost his father when he was 19 and know the hardships that accompany such a tragedy.  For 13 years he has sought ways to help others in similar situations and thus decided to begin a charity for youth.  He has experience working alongside a national charity with a management group and he has volunteered for various local charities in the past.  He has also have been employed by a local tutorial service in which he tutored and mentored youth.  

John Rosser

John is a CPA with 7 years of experience in public accounting, with an emphasis in tax,  at Gross Collins, P.C, a midsize Atlanta accounting firm.    John is currently a tax manager at OldCastle In. a large construction/manufacturing company.
Karen Ellis

Karen is a retired educator who taught and coached in the Hall County School System for 35 years.  She taught special education and middle grades, and coached spirit and competitive cheerleading at the high school level.  Her competition squads were very successful on the regional and state levels and she has received many coaching awards including state and national coach of the year.  Karen considers teaching an honor and a privilege, and looks forward to touching the lives of grieving kids since she also lost a parent at an early age.  Karen also serves as chairman of the Billy Ellis Memorial Scholarship Committee.
